Surface 2 Air Media is an effective blend of skilled and licensed professionals with over 20 years experience in the film and TV industries. We’re also a registered DJI dealer and have over 25 years collective experience with radio controlled planes/helicopters.
Why use us
What separates us from 95% of other U.K. drone operators is that we have an OSC (Operating Safety Case). This unique permission from the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) allows us to operate drones significantly closer to crowds, roads and buildings, which is ideal for working in congested areas like London.

Drones
S2A Media Ltd has a number of high performance drones in its fleet. These range from heavy lift aircraft designed to carry RED and ALEXA Mini, to smaller sub 7kg aircraft such as the highly acclaimed DJI Inspire 2 with X7 camera.
Cable Cam provides a safe alternative method to capture incredible overhead shots in crowded and congested areas where operating a drone may not be feasible.
The MōVI series are state-of-the-art lightweight 3-axis camera stabilisers. They can be operated either manually or remotely and can be attached to various equipment such as Drones, Cable Cam, Tero, Jib and Telescopic Mast.
The Tero is a large radio-controlled car, purpose-built to carry the MōVI series, and capable of speeds up to 40mph. Only a limited number of these Tero cars were ever produced worldwide, so it truly is a rare and unique piece of film-making equipment.
This 15m (50ft) Telescopic Mast has been customised to work in unison with a MōVI and video downlink system, therefore allowing us to work safely in highly congested areas or within large crowds where operating a drone may not be feasible.
This robust and cleverly crafted piece of equipment is a 3-axis dampening system with an additional vibration mount. It can be hardmounted to pretty much any vehicle and is designed to carry the MōVI series and other gimbals. Ideal for tracking shots either on land or water.
